FUNDAMENTALS OF PHOTOGRAPHY: EXPANDED

There's always more to learn in photography!

I'm always thinking of new ways to improve our workshops for you guys, and after teaching the ORIGINAL "Fundamentals" workshop for some time, I thought "What would I want to teach you if I just had MORE time?".

And then came Fundamentals "Expanded"! This workshop (parts 1 & 2) takes everything in our ORIGINAL "Fundamentals" workshop, and adds concepts and discussions that we just don't have time to learn in 4 hours. EACH part (2 parts total) is 4 hours... for a total of 8 hours of instruction and exercises!

Because there is more time, this workshop also has a more relaxed pace... more time for Q&A with me about anything, and more time to practice hands-on with me there as your guide.

This workshop is for students who want to learn as much as they possibly can, and who have more time in their schedule... and because both sessions are often held back-to-back, you can still do it in ONE DAY!

Topics include:

Everything from the ORIGINAL (4 hour) "Fundamentals" workshop plus:

1. We dig deeper into your camera's hardware and features that will help you take better photos. (Topics such as color space, RAW VS JPEG, resolution, sharpness, resolutions, aspect ratios, memory card types and which to buy, picture styles, back button focusing, and more!)

2. Not all camera sensors are equal... you'll learn about different sensor sizes (such as Full frame, crop, APS(c), 4/3rds) and which are best for your type of photography, as well as how they affect performance such as dynamic range, digital noise, depth of field, and more!

3. FLASH! Learn about the different flash technologies and features available today, and how to use them (such as TTL, HSS, sync speeds, 1st/2nd curtain, wireless triggering, flash duration, and more). This won't replace the LIGHTING 101 workshop, but you'll end up with a good understanding of flash technologies and features (does NOT cover how to use a light meter, light modifiers, or using flash outdoors, but we will introduce them).

4. GEAR! We'll take a look at the gear and accessories I take and use on all my photography jobs. Lens filters, flash accessories, camera accessories and attachments, light modifiers, tripods, and so much more!
